Dear Whanau and Friends We have had several queries following the most recent update advising you that a negative Rapid Antigen Test is required for all visitors to enter the facility. We can now confirm that this applies to all facilities, Kumeu Village, Ladybug and Kingfisher House.
- RAT kits are available for the public to purchase from pharmacies (such as the Chemist Warehouse) and other retail outlets. Please see the following link: https://www.health.govt.nz/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-health-advice-public/assessment-and-testing-covid-19/rapid-antigen-testing?fbclid=IwAR0D5IogS5YvniKUuVf32lDujZCOMZyKpg2wWO_O2XScBrLZyUaaFG3QsD4#general_public
- RAT testing needs to be completed in your car 15 minutes before your visiting time. If you test negative, please bring in the kit, show the front desk team and discard the kit in the bin provided.
As mentioned, we are currently in discussion with the DHB about this requirement and we will update you should there be any change. We are doing everything we possibly can to keep our residents (your loved ones) and our staff safe. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation in advance. On behalf of the Management Team.
